laboratory for targeted drug delivery & personalized medicine technologies

ABOUT US

Our research group is aimed at improving patients’ quality of life and bettering their treatment by developing innovative medical technologies. Specifically, we focus on targeting metastatic cancer with nanotechnology, and on constructing miniature medical devices that couple diagnosis to therapy (theranostic devices). Our lab is headed by Dr Avi Schroeder, who has years of experience in nanotechnology and personalized medicine.

Dr. Avi Schroeder has translational experience with the development of liposome-based clinical systems.  He is the author of scientific papers in the field of nanotechnology and medicine. Schroeder is the inventor on 14 patents, and recipient of 20 national and international innovation awards. Dr. Schroeder is a scientific-entrepreneur, starting 5 successful Technion spin-outs.

Aviram

Aviram received his B.Sc. in Biochemical Engineering from the Technion (2018). Aviram started working at the lab in March 2018 as a part of collaboration with a lab from the Hebrew University. Aviram’s current study focuses on developing new generation of RNA delivery systems.
